NEW COMMUNITY STUDENT CHEFS PREPARE DISHES FOR RECIPE CONTEST
Anarita Delacruz, a student in the New Community School of Culinary Arts, dishes up Mexican/Bean Corn Dip, the winning recipe in the contest sponsored by the North Jersey Federal Credit Union. Students from the school prepared all the dishes for the March 9th event, held at the New Community Priory in Newark.
Peter Genovese, The Star-Ledger's food reporter and author of the Munchmobile series, gave top ratings to the Mexican Bean Corn Dip, which he described as "bite-size perfection." Genovese was one of six judges who sampled the dishes prepared by the students from the New Community School of Culinary Arts.
