Family Resource Center The NCC Family Resource Center takes a holistic approach to services by linking those who seek assistance with resources and information that will empower them to improve the quality of their lives.
“I love the center. My oldest son has been here in Harmony House since he was four months old and he graduated two years ago,” said Janice Williams, a parent from the community who utilizes the center. “I still have two of my sons here. The teachers are doing a great job. They treat my children as their own children.”

FORMER NCC CULINARY STUDENTS NOW SERVING UP FOOD ON COLLEGE CAMPUS
One can find Perry today working in the Highlander Club (pub), located on the third floor of the campus center at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) in Newark. The club is a place for students, faculty, and the rest of the NJIT population to eat, watch the big screen television, have a beer, and enjoy each other’s company.
Perry is currently one of three former students from the NCC Culinary program working at NJIT. The other two are Samad Bell, who is assigned to the gourmet dining hall, where Perry would like to eventually land, and Derrick Starks, who just recently started in the Highlander Pub, joining Perry behind the grill.

The skilled nurses and therapists of EVVNA come to the home and provide care and education to assure each individual’s health care needs are met. Certified home health aides are available to assist with personal care needs.

Volunteer efforts are exceptionally important to New Community with volunteers contributing hundreds of thousands of hours worth of time every year. Every year, volunteer efforts account for work that would otherwise be incomplete. For example, volunteers provide friendship and support to residents of NCC’s Extended Care Facility and they offer help for the children attending New Community’s early learning centers. New Community logs over an estimated 400,000 volunteer hours annually!! Nationally, volunteers contribute more than 15 billion hours a year in volunteer time. Independent Sector, a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit, states that volunteer time is worth and estimated $272 billion.
